Kinetic Type Project
Project:
For this project, you will be creating a short video clip. The clip will consist of text alone. Do not use shapes, graphics, or videos for this project. You will need to figure out a way to illustrate ONE of the following phrases: “The show must go on” “Cracking the code” or “Walk a mile in my shoes”
Size and material requirements:
The project should be 15-30 seconds long. Render the file in .MOV format. Be sure that your quality is set to high. Sound is not required for this project, but you may use sound if you like. If sounds are used, be sure that they do not detract from the video
Objectives:
Practice the basics of AfterEffects. Get comfortable animating text. Understand the differences between text on a printed page and text on the screen.

As far as this first project goes, it sounds like a fairly simple assignment. I already had to deal with putting type in a video when I took Video Production the previous semester, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Out of the 3 options that we've been given so far, I feel that "The show must go on" might be the one I'm leaning towards for my project. I've already been able to formulate some ideas in my head about what I want to do, but I'll have to run them by Willie before I do anything else. My ideas in particular might be a little too abstract for the project..........
I'll more than likely have to look up a few videos on kinetic type to get a good grasp on the general ideas of how it works, should my ideas not be practical.
